Cooking the employment books means lowering the unemployment rate to 7.8% because no president has been considered a success going into an election when the unemployment rate is at 8%.
For 2 million people to suddenly get jobs two months before and election, well every new organization would be shouting it from their rooftops. CNN and Microsoft would not be "unhiring" anyone.
