As the mid-term election approaches, there is increasing focus on Senate races. Real Clear Politics shows these states as toss-ups: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. (Michigan flips back and forth from being a toss up to leaning Dem.)
If you look at the map with no toss ups, it shows the GOP winning anywhere from 50-52 seats. But if you look at the polling margin that pushes a state into one column or the other (Dem or GOP), you can see how fragile the situation is. We have some candidates leading by as little as a fraction of a percentage point. Thats absurd and can turn on a dime. The fact that the GOP is struggling in states that should be solid red states is a bad a sign. And most of these toss up states are states Romney won in 2012.

Well said and true for South Dakota.
I don’t really like Mike Rounds but I totally do not want the tommy daschle clone called Rick Weiland.
I swear that the dems have something on Larry pressler and are getting him to run so weiland can win.
I also do not trust the east river counties to give us an accurate vote count
Maybe the GOPe should start backing conservative candidates instead of these hot messes they put on the ballot?
blaming the voters is always the gutless, coward move by a party that has nothing to run on
You would think the GOPe would know this, if they were on the side of the People and the Republic, sadly they are not, in my opinion.
Tell me one thing the Republican party is for in this campaign season. David Horowitz explains why we lose.
Sometimes nothing is just what needs done.
When you stand for most of what your opposition party wants how do you run against that? Their are beyond stupid and even worse handing out millions of dollars to consultants who could care less if their candidate wins or loses as long as their paycheck doesn’t bounce.
Listen...no one dislikes the GOPe more then I do!!! But....the GOPe matters zilch this election cycle!!! Obama is “The enemy of the United Sates of America”...on every count!!!” He must be reduced to a fully useless “LAME DUCK” POTUS on 11/04/2014!!! Nothing else has a greater priority IMHO!!!
I really do not care what other Freepers or Trolls think or jump on me!!! I am voting to save my country for my children, my grandchildren and all American future children yet to come!!! End of story....there is no other sane path to take, then to totally broom (defeat) the entire Democrat Party, politically!!! Do it...and save your country!!! Politics can return later!!!
It isn’t the party nor the politicians. It’s the voters! You have to ask yourself why the Republican party is the way it is, and the answer is that most Americans want big government in spite of what they say.
Go to any state and ask people if they are willing to give up their place at the trough. I don’t care how conservative they say they are, they want their “free” stuff. This is not going to stop until the US is bankrupt.
Also, most Americans are sick of perpetual conflicts that only make things worse and result in the deaths and wounding of our people. If the Republicans continue to support such misadventures, the public will turn on them. Dumb voters thought Obama would end the wars, even though liberals love war. It gives them the opportunity to spend money and curtail our rights. Democrats don’t give a rat’s butt about our troops.
It’s actually a pretty simple proposition. Which would you prefer, a Democrat controlled Senate or a Republican controlled Senate? I prefer a Republican controlled one and urge others to help make that happen. Decide which you would rather have and act accordingly.
Good post!!
How is it a win if the RINOs get a majority while working so hard to defeat constitutional conservatives?
