While nearly 2,000 people have been infected with the Ebola virus in West Africa, the United States has yet to see any confirmed cases of the disease. However, that isn't stopping some scammers from trying to make a quick buck at a time when the fatal disease is making headlines.
Products claiming to either treat or prevent Ebola are popping up online. The FDA said they have received numerous consumer complaints of products like the dietary supplement powder Garcinia Cambogia, which claims it can fight the Ebola virus.

The gown, mask, and booties are more than the the Dallas hazmat team bothered with.
Not keeping up with current events. On the other hand, ebola is ripe for scammers.

Now we know what they used on the plane in NJ yesterday to get that 30 minute confirmation that it wasn’t Ebola.
I guess Ebola action figures that really bleed will be next. Ebola bobbleheads. It never ends.
Best defense against ANY virus is to keep your resistance in good shape. Anti-biotics do not kill viruses.
Avoid excess fatigue, and exposure to extreme temperatures.
And get plenty of sleep each night.
Eat lots of fruits and veggies. And of course wash hands frequently. When I am doing all of this, I avoid colds, flu and other viral diseases. When not, then here comes flu.

I have been taking Vitamin D and adding different herbs in my homemade soups and casseroles. I stocked up on bottled water, dry goods and batteries (in case things go bad and I don’t want to go out in the public- I am moving my office to my house). Like you shared, best thing to do is take some precautions. Just don’t become so frightened that one spends money unnecessarily and becomes stressed out with no rest.
There is a medical supply not too far from me. 2 weeks ago, a pack of 50 masks were $39.98. This past week, they are up to $55.00 for the same box. I buy gloves there in bulk for cleaning around the house and the kitty area.
Here’s one - if you aren’t spewing from both ends, you’re not sick.
The man sitting beside the guy said it was 15-20 minutes. Not nitpicking just more stunned jaw dropping at the CDC.
