Actually, its’ dogma and insanity. They run on a deficit budget and simply make their own money. Being favored of the government is nice in the short run, but when it gets bad enough, the politicians will run for the bunkers and leave the majority of the lower individuals to fend for themselves. More likely than anything these people are in denial that anything is wrong in the same way that a foolish man builds a house on sand thinking that a storm can’t come his way.
