The idea that Ebola will take over the United States is an unfounded fear, said Dr. Liise-Anne Pirofski, chief of infectious diseases at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Ebola was discovered in central Africa in 1976. It was determined to be air born, and 100% fatal. there were approx. 6 villages completely wiped out in the initial discovery.
I was on active duty and clearly remember the news of the day.
Of the countries that have had major outbreaks, none are yet in control of it. Only Nigeria and Senegal managed to stop their outbreaks when cases were <=20.
No.
Awareness is absolutely warranted but, this won’t be a subject matter in 2 maybe 4 weeks.
“Its recommended that anytime you check into a hospital to bring your own disinfectant wipe and clean everything in your room.”
Wise words!
Really?
18,000 dead in the USA vs 2,000 world wide for Ebola?
Go read my experience with this MRSA stuff.
You don’t want it and the proximity to my friend could have easily developed into a serious problem.
I never cleaned so much in my life.
Methicillin resistant stapholococcus aurae?
Jeez, now wonder they just call it MRSA.
Sorry you got it.
So am I, MN.

It’s pretty obivous this ebola is airborne, despite their denials.
“.....this wont be a subject matter in 2 maybe 4 weeks.”
Well, let’s check back in those time frames and see.
Following the wikipedia link to MRSA from which that map comes, I found, at the bottom of the wiki page, info that “Oakin.”
“Oakin, an Oak extract, has been shown to start killing MRSA immediately and reaches 99.2% at 6 hours, sustaining that kill rate for 48 hours (max time tested).[138]”
There is a salve that contains Oakin. It’s available at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Amerigel-Wound-Dressing-Tube-Ounce/dp/B0001ZA3YW
Does that salve sound useful to you?
I dunno.
I’ll research it and if confident in its efficacy, I’ll include in my BOB’s and medicine cabinet...
Thnx!
Guy called Hannity yesterday and said that very thing, this isn’t Ebola, I forget what he called it Marburg or something such.
He said the real Ebola is much worse, 100% fatal, within 2 days the entire body including bones turns to liquid.
Vitamin D3 in daily doses of 2-5 k units will for many prevent flu
there are lots of sites with info
Well then why is influenza A rated for a Biohazard Level 2 according to the CDC. The exotic flu’s (avian bird flu for example) are rated a 3.
MRSA is rated as a 2.
Ebola is a 4.
” this wont be a subject matter in 2 maybe 4 weeks.”
Seems people were saying that 2-4 weeks ago. People also said it won’t get to the US. People said our medical system could handle it. People said our American culture would respond better and prevent infection.
They are batting .000 so far.
This is ebola according to reports. There are different strains of ebola. According to the experts none of them have proven to be airborne but there are indications it may be.
Marburg is a hemorrhagic fever and has about a 25% fatality rate. Ebola has between 40% and 90% fatality rate depending on the strain and medical care.
In some cases the ebola virus invades a cell and then replicates explosively. This causes the cell to burst. When this happens to enough cells the body does turn to mush but this takes longer than 2 days and usually kills the person first.
I’m not the Shell Answer Man.
I can’t be right about everything.
But, I’m not wrong.
Being wrong is for women...
I wonder what Jesus will say when you have to answer for that.
The guy that called Hannity yesterday, and they confirmed who he was and where he worked before letting him come on the air, apparently was one of the first to identify Ebola and he said people are being misled, this is not Ebola.
He’ll probably give me an epic Gibbs slap on me noggin that’ll hurt for 1/4 of eternity. ...
