I didn't see this part of the story in the Weekly Standard's article or other articles. I think they were trying to erase the fact that the President rode over with two people that were illegal.

Where were the Secret Service??? Since when is it okay for the President to ride over with illegals. Don't they do background checks anymore???

This should not be allowed, even if they were interns for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. This doesn't change the fact that they should fail any background check given by the Secret Service.
