The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

Ironically, Sept. 24 was the same day the Ebola patient went to the ER in Dallas and was sent home with an antibiotic...after telling a nurse he was from Africa. But he didn’t tell her he had been exposed to Ebola by nursing a sick relative who had died four days before he left for America.

The Brits, with their ban on all flights to west Africa, certainly care more for the safety of their people than our governent does for Americans.

The protesters highlighted the lack of training, equipment and isolation rooms where suspected Ebola-infected patients in the US could be quarantined.

I'm certain that most hospitals have infectious disease units. Just because these nurses aren't trained in infectious disease does not mean that NO nurses are trained in this area.
