God Save Us from the Loud 'I'm Staying Home This Year' Conservatives
By Jim Geraghty
A few thoughts from the middle of the day . . .
God save us from self-professed "conservatives" who will announce they'll stay home on Election Day as a demonstration of their power.
Because as we all know, you become more influential in politics and government and public life by staying home and doing less.
....
Does the "I'm staying home" crowd apply this to everything in life? "I don't like the way the company is run, so I'm not going to work."
"Honey, I'm just not happy with your performance as a spouse, so I'm going to be less active in the marriage until you improve."
"Kids, I'm disappointed with your performance in school. Until you improve, I'm ignoring you."
The thing is, I wonder how often the "I'm staying home this year" crowd voted before. In fact, I wonder if they ever vote.
I don't understand the "I've never been more fearful for the future of this country, but I'm not willing to do anything about it" mentality.
Ronald Reagan is not walking through that door, folks.

You might try and see if that kind of silly intimidation and ridicule will work on Mexicans and ‘moderates’ to vote for your liberal Republican candidates. We frankly no longer care what happens to the GOP. It has proven itself nothing but a party of Judenrats and Statists.
All you are doing is affirming our decision to write-in Conservatives or vote 3rd party Conservatives as the correct, wise and justifiable course to take.

You are welcome. Fits the discussion perfectly. This one is probably more accurate though.

Idiots......they dont care that the SURVIVAL of the USA hangs in the balance....they only care about their stance and how great and superior it makes them feel.I feel the same way about most of the Republicans holding office. They don't give a damned about anything else but their political careers. And when their careers are on the line, they throw up this façade, hoping to pull some heart strings among their constituents.

Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan are my political heroes. Do you have any?
Do you mean THIS Ronald Reagan?
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan
I ask, because none of your posts on this thread speak to the idea that THIS Ronald Reagan is one of your political heroes.

Explain how he made money through government connections. He was a venture capitalist who was socially liberal. He understood and believed in capitalism. He was not a community organizer.
Are you really that dense?
I'm not talking about how he made his money. I am talking about his support of Amnesty, and all of the other Progressive Liberal positions he has taken.
He is in the pocket of the Chamber of Commerce, whose stock and trade IS Crony Capitalism.

The list of this Nation's sin is long, and, if I should list them, I'd likely get called on the carpet for having the audacity to do so.
"Woe to those that call good, evil; and to those who call evil; good."
GOD won't listen to anyone who has turned their backs on Him. As a country as a whole, we've turned our backs on GOD. It won't call a spade a spade, or evil for what it is, but facilitates and acccomodates it. We've gone from a country that wanted nothing else but to defeat evil to a country that doesn't want to win wars against every element of evil.
The land of the weak, the home of depraved.

Romney is a liberal Republican, but he is neither a crony capitalist (that was Perot and other rich Democrats) nor a sleaze bag,
NOT A SLEAZE BAG????
Mitt Romney single-handedly implemented Gay Marriage in Massachusetts.
Mitt Romney fully supports Killing Unborn Babies(Abortion).
Mitt Romney fully supports Gay Adoption.
Mitt Romney fully supports Gays in the Boy Scouts.
Mitt Romney fully supports Gays in the military.
Mitt Romney fully supports Amnesty.
What does he have to do for you to pull your head out of your butt for you to recognize the utter and complete lack of morality on the part of Mitt Romney???

And I don.t want to hear from any Cruz ‘fans’ that the way to support him is to deny him the Senate.

I think the reason the establishment GOP doesn’t hammer the IRS is because they were denying Tea Party groups their tax exempt status and the GOPe wants to also destroy these grassroots groups.
How do I know? THEY TOLD US!

Last I looked sir (madam - whatever you are) - McConnell is the supposed leadership of your party in the Senate, NOT Cruz.
You know, the guy who just recently declared they were going to surrender power back to the Democrats should he be made ‘majority leader’?
Supporting Cruz is not dependent upon whether or not the Senate is in the hands of the Ruling Class GOP.
Nothing will change if the GOP takes the Senate, no repeal of ObamaCare, filibuster power returned to Democrats, your party leadership already made that clear.
It’s immaterial if the GOP takes the Senate or not.
In fact, the entire Federal Government is corrupted beyond repair and redemption as it is wholly illegitimate to govern a moral and righteous people.
