Navy sailors distrust commanders, fear crippling political correctness

Navy sailors harbor “widespread mistrust” in the admirals who command them, complaining of poor leadership and a disciplinary environment that tolerates absolutely no mistakes, says a survey of the fleet.

The disgruntlement runs deepest in the officer corps, where scores of commanders have been relieved of duty in recent years.

At a low-level Navy command. It is not only the top brass and top civilians pushing this crap. It has reached the local command level.

That was over 20 years ago...can’t imagine what it’s like now.

You have no idea... It is absolutely overbearing the amount of sexual assault, suicide prevention, alcohol abuse and equal opportunity training we have to endure. Not only is it scheduled several times a year but every time some Midshipman attending the Academy on a football scholarship assaults some girl, the entire Navy shuts down for another round of fleet-wide, CNO-mandated "don't rape your shipmate" brow-beating.

Let’s just say I’m very glad I got out when I did....3 months after the pervert in chief Clinton was inaugurated.

I caught some morning propaganda and I chuckled some at “British RAF planes” attacked something that I don’t recall.

I remarked to my wife about who else’s RAF could it be?

German RAF: as in Red Army Faction (formerly Baader-Meinhof Group)

JJ, as you know, I come from a family with a long military history. In his last year of service, my Father, a Commander in the U.S. Navy, drew a barracks inspection at NNMC, Bethesda, during which he inspected the living quarters (WWII temps) of enlisted personnel. His report was scathing, specifically saying that he had a son - that would be me - primed to enter the service and that he would not allow me to do so in light of the conditions he observed.

I joined the Navy a year or two later. By the time I got to NNMC Bethesda, after a sojourn in 'Nam, no WWII temps were being used as Enlisted Quarters - they had a new bldg that looked more like a college dorm than a military barracks.

My Father would not survive in today's U.S. Military. The ethos is no longer what it was forty-five years ago. At the top, I mean, and I mean only some, not all. Our Troops who carry the load day-to-day and face the danger are as gallant and true as ever.

My Father, as well as my several uncles who served in WWII and Korea, would not countenance what is happening in our Military today.

When I was in the field over 40 years ago, I had no doubt that the Officers directing me were dedicated, professional and patriotic Warriors for the Freedoms we enjoy. If they were not, they were putting on one hell of a show! They led us, they led by example, they led from the front. When 2nd Lt. Ken McIntosh jumped up and spearheaded the charge, none of us thought to question – we did, as we were trained.

No brag here – that's what all our guys did – our job.

Mistrust among the Junior Officers, the NCO's and Enlisted does not augur well for our Nation.

Action is needed. It is needed now.

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

It does not.

The Obola admin has been effective in influencing the FBI, BATF, DOJ, Secret Service, EPA, etc.

He has made gains in each branch of the Armed Forces. But, it has met much resistance.

They’ll start leaving in droves and no one will join up. Exactly what liberals want.

During the clitoon era the senior leadership was regularly referred to as the “Dark Side”.
