Paramedics who transported the now-confirmed Ebola patient to a Dallas hospital have tested negative for the virus, Dallas County Health and Human Services Director Zachary Thompson said Wednesday.

Thompson said friends and family of the patient are still under close observation, but there is no second case. Despite the negative tests, the paramedics also will be closely monitored for symptoms until the known incubation period for the virus has passed. "Given how sick this person could have been during the time frame, we would not be shocked" if there was a second case, Thompson said. "But do we have a confirmed case to date? No."

Earlier Wednesday, health department spokeswoman Erikka Neroes told The Dallas Morning News that investigators interviewing people in contact with the patient have identfied no one else exhibiting symptoms. As of Wednesday morning, the confirmed patient's condition had been upgraded from critical to serious

Based on all articles from Texas currently....that crew is showing negative for Ebola.

We should note though....you probably wouldn’t start to show any symptoms for at least two weeks....going up possibly to the third week. For this guy in the back of the ambulance....this waiting period has to really tear him up inside, and I suspect he’s sitting quietly in a basement and just counting the hours, praying, and hoping that he did everything right to avoid ebola.

It's only been 2 or 3 days since they were in contact with the infected guy. It'll take a few more days before the viral load is high enough to detect.

Well, duh...

Of course they did. It's only been a couple of days. They really must think we're morons.

They really must think we're morons.

They just think were "the masses", placated by a meaningless test, while the real test (ie, incubation period) plays itself out behind the scenes.

Good news since they reported the patient was messy with puke and such.

Where did this idea come from that the masses need to be kept in the dark while the government runs things?

If people knew how serious this is they would be demanding that we shut down flights from that country and prohibit anyone visiting there to go through a 30 day (not 21 day) incubation period.

Look at the DJI. The stock markets has a clue.

The stock markets has a clue.

Oh that? That's probably due to climate change.

The liberals I know and engage with, including family members, effectively cover their ears and sing "La la... la, la" and refer to my rants as conspiracy theory against the 'resident.
