Three Republicans rumored to be considering presidential runs for 2016 headed to an Iowa religious banquet to push conservatives to vote in this years midterm elections
As they courted voters in the first state to hold a formal presidential electoral event every four years, Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Rep. Paul Ryan (Wis.) made slightly different cases for voting, The Associated Press reported.
The three spoke at a Saturday fundraiser for the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition.
Cruz railed against ObamaCare and Democratic proposals to allow some undocumented immigrants to stay in the country legally, promising that a Republican-controlled Senate would work against those policies.
Jindal pushed for the GOP to work on its own policy proposals and not just rely on opposing Democrats, the AP said.
My personal view is that we as the Republican Party cant be the anti-party, he said. We cant be the anti-Obama party. Weve got to be a party that stands for solutions, stands for ideas.
Jindal has worked toward that goal this year, writing formal policy proposals to replace ObamaCare and to increase domestic energy production.
Ryan arrived at the banquet unannounced, AP reported.
We know the next half dozen or years or so will make or break this country, said Ryan, who was the partys vice presidential nominee in 2012.

The message should be sent to the RNC, not the voters, and it should be, come back to true conservative principles. Instead, I hear “vote for us because if you don’t people slightly worse than us will win.”
The message for this election is do not vote for any RINOs. Only vote for conservative Republicans.
A vote for a RINO is another Senate vote for Obama.
Sneaking in from the back door?
Jindal has ... writing formal policy proposals to replace ObamaCare ...America Next Freedom and Empowerment Plan
10 billion a year to the states, with an edict that the states make health care available. Good cop / bad cop routine (feds/state).
The plan has some good ideas in it, but no doubt, the plan advocates a federal role in the health care industry.
IMHO....we should, (every American citizen/voter), be clamoring from the rooftops for “ALL” Americans to turn out and destroy the entire Democrat Party, politically on election day, November 4, 2014!!! I hate RINOs....too, but, I can assure you that POTUS, Barack Hussein (I love my Muslim Brotherhood brethren) Obama and his Obamabot Democrat Party is on a dedicated path to destroy the American Republic!!! Time for political action is right now!!!
So glad that the likes of Cruz, Jindal & Ryan are shouting the same from the rooftops!!! They all...Pubbies, should begin doing it...and all of us common folks should do exactly the same thing!!! Would love to see Freepers enmasse, shouting, posting and yelling to get out the vote so that we can destroy Obama and the Democrat Party, politically come, November 2014!!! For goodness sake and the future of our beloved country, yourselves, your families, your children, your grandchildren....go out there, post & shout GOTV!!!!
Ok, but do we have a comprehensive list of the RINOs we’re not supposed to vote for? I’ve seen the following mentioned on various FR threads:
McConnell
Cochrane
Roberts
Brown
Graham
Who else am I missing?
Jindal will serve as America Next's honorary chairman, while the day-to-day operations will be run by Jill Neunaber, a veteran of Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign and most recently campaign manager for Massachusetts Republican Gabriel Gomez's failed bid for U.S. Senate. Neunaber will operate the 501(c)(4) group from Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington.
Gov. Jindal's America Next advocacy group apparently won't disclose donors | NOLA.com - April 02, 2014
America Next, the conservative advocacy group formed last year by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal to help his potential presidential run in 2016, apparently won't be disclosing the source of its donations.During a breakfast meeting with political reporters Wednesday, in which he unveiled a market-alternative alternative to the Affordable Care Act prepared by America Next, Jindal was asked whether he would reveal the group's financing. He referred the question to the group's executive director, Jill Neunaber, a former aide to the 2012 Mitt Romney for President organization.
Watch out for the illegals.
If this immigration (invasion) continues there WILL BE no more conservatism.
NOTHING is more important.
Well, as a Federalist, I believe people should know their own candidates. If not, don’t vote at all—you’re too stupid.
I wish MS senate were national, though. I would love to write in against Cochrane.
I have heard competing narratives on many of the races, and don’t intend to choose for everyone. All I can say is leave the clothes pins at home. If a candidate has the stench of a RINO or a Rove, leave it blank or write in the person who should have been on the ballot.
“..We cant be the anti-Obama party. Weve got to be a party that stands for solutions, stands for ideas.
Yep, and I’m keeping this in mind when I write letters to editors for my conservative candidates.
Could not agree with you....more!!!
