A marijuana giveaway for veterans attracted about 1,000 people to a Colorado hotel.
The Grow 4 Vets giveaway in Colorado Springs aimed to bring cannabis-based treatments to veterans with service-related conditions as an alternative to pain medications. [ ]
Not all who received the bags were veterans. A $20 donation from non-veterans was encouraged.

Dude, if anyone deserves it, it’s the veterans.
“Have you sustained any casualties?”
“As a matter of fact, man, the whole platoon’s wiped out”

Colorado’s Mary Jane experiment may eventually be recorded in history as one of the greatest social mistakes ever made. JMHO!
“The regiment is wrecked.”
“Somebody’s saying something bad about Roger, man.”
The social experiment of prohibition (upon an item, not upon a behavior) is one of the most tragic we’ve known.
Okay. So how many of those "1000 people" WERE actually veterans? How many 20 dollar "donations" did they get?
Who plastered this silly headline on the story anyhow. Isn’t the norm by syndicated services like this to send stories out WITHOUT headlines?
1000 miscellaneous people some of which might have been veterans....
This screams of yet another way the government will use to prevent veterans from owning guns. I don’t like it at all. This smells like a trap to be sprung when the time is right.
Or it may expose prohibition as the monster creating act of tyranny that it is.
Why should we act like Nazis over a matter of personal choice?
It used to be legal to burn witches, and before that it was legal to burn people just for owning a bible for the first 1800 years.
I see it as the end of persecution.
Wonder how many freeloaders showed up.

Indeed, taking the blame away from the person and assigning it to an item is very “islamic”...
Where they blame the woman for the rape (they consider the woman an item) because she showed to much ankle and not the rapist (who did the dirty despicable deed)...

Of course the first amendment should allow us to point at the drugged out hippie and call him a dope to his face!
But the leftists think that is “hurtful”.....
We should be able to use the first amendment to call out any behavior that is detrimental to society, for a lot of behaviors we don’t need laws, just the good people of the country need to start using their first amendment to call is as they sees it.
Headline.
A marijuana giveaway for veterans attracted about 1,000 people to a Colorado hotel.
Opening statement that sort of supports the headline but not really.
Not all who received the bags were veterans. A $20 donation from non-veterans was encouraged.
And in the fifth paragraph the fact that the headline was full of malarkey is revealed.
Not to say that there are no veterans who smoke weed. I am sure there are. And after a tour you automatically line up for anything. Just pointing out the headline is just a bit... off.
As bad as the AP is at that, the Guardian is worse.
We, who don’t do drugs, should move to a freer, less corrupt, more straight and sober state.
The military posts and bases in the Springs should also be moved to a better state.
duuuuuudde, legalize it man... tax it man... it’s like the perfect substance man..
free pot man...
