Saw this - was from last weekend I think.
Only risk was from small arms ground-fire, no AA in the area. Losses amount to a few hapless jihadis and broken equipment and buildings - nothing of significance or serious.
In a traditional warfare situation yes they would be. However, in the current 4th generation warfare they operate mostly at night under cover of darkness for their planting of roadside bombs, sabotage, etc. So in context, what would have been there at night most likely was their family, etc. and not the actual ones it is claimed he’s targeting.
I had considered that also. I’m not certain the IED phase is big right now. That doesn’t mean that other night-time activity isn’t taking place though.
There is the issue of collateral damage too. I wonder if they are striking at night hoping the local populace is inside their homes asleep.
Look, I’m not defending Obama here. We all think he is a traitorous man. Assuming the worst is almost always the best way to go with him.
I’m sure that is a great comfort to the citizens of Dresden, Hiroshima etc.
