Milton Wolf, the tea party candidate who battled Sen. Pat Roberts in a bitter Republican primary fight, is considering some political payback: Endorsing Kansas independent Greg Orman, sources said Thursday night.
But theres a big catch: To win Wolfs endorsement, Orman must first agree to caucus with the Senate GOP if he were to defeat Roberts in the general election.
The two men were scheduled to meet Friday afternoon at Ormans house in Olathe, Kansas., just outside of Kansas City, according to two people familiar with the matter. One person said Ormans team sought the meeting but there was no ask for an endorsement. Another source said the meeting may be canceled now that the media have caught wind of it.
Milton is going to make an ask that [Orman] consider making a public commitment to caucus with the Republican Party, regardless of the outcome of the November elections, one person familiar with the matter said.
Another person said: I think if Orman agrees to Wolfs terms, it means the end of Roberts.

Wolf's "confirmations" have as much credibility as Dick Morris' predictions. I wouldn't put it past Wolf to endorse Orman, either officially (in public so he can play kingsmaker and make himself look important) or unofficially (by undermining Roberts behind the scenes and talking up Orman by praising what an "effective" candidate he is and how he'd make a good Senator, etc.)
He certainly has ACTED like he wants the KS RATs to win over the past few weeks, given all his snarky KS GOP bashing. Shades of how "conservative" Ray LaThug never "officially" endorsed Obama in 2004 or 2008, but he did everything he could to bash conservative Republicans and heap praise on Obama as an articulate suave consensus-builder. He was rewarded for his treason with a cushy job as Transportation Secretary in the Obama administration.
If Wolf wants to set the record straight that he's NOT helping Orman, he should tell his fan club to stop throwing a temper tantrum and cast their votes for a reliably conservative Senator. Period.
In any case, how are the actions of Wolf supporters vowing to oppose Roberts any different than the actions of uber RINOs Mike Castle or Dede Scozzafava? Can't beat a proven conservative in the primary, so out of spite they root for a marxist RAT in the general election to "teach the GOP a lesson".
The Majority Leader thanks you for your resolute commitment to Social Progress!
This is true.
“I agree...while sitting in Arizona. Roberts isnt ideal, but Id rather see him in office than McCain or McFlake - my home state senators!”
I have Boxer, the daughter of Lucifer and I’d trade her for ANY Republican.
Short term memory loss. The GOP gave us Obama.
Yes.
Fair enough. Wolf certainly looked promising during the primary. Since I live in PA, I’d still rather have your Wolf than the libnut Wolf we have who will probably be our next governor, though. :)
