I’ve watched the video a few times now, and his behavior doesn’t come across as alarming to me at all.

The woman and two children who stopped in the same aisle don’t seem alarmed, either. (According to what I’ve read, she’s supposedly the same woman who collapsed and died of a heart attack when police shot Crawford.)

I’ve come across people carrying real guns through Walmart, and I wasn’t alarmed.

There are youtube videos of people purchasing firearms at Walmart. For example, if you go to this link, at around 1:20, the “customer” (really a Frenchman who obviously isn’t a serious customer) positions it to check it out:

Meanwhile, Crawford was just carrying an air rifle. It’s a shame - really sad for two victims and their families.

No, it wasn’t the same woman. There are multiple witnesses who have said that he was in fact waving it around and walking through the store with it on his shoulder.

According to news articles, that was Angela Williams entering the aisle in the video. Here are two examples:

About 55 seconds later, Angela Williams entered the pets aisle with two of her young children. Crawford stood totally still at the other end of the aisle with the rifle at his side, pointed at the floor.

Angela Williams, who can be seen in the Wal-Mart surveillance video from the night of the incident, entered the same aisle as Crawford (prior to police arrival) and left after she appeared to notice the rifle Crawford was holding. After police fired two shots at Crawford, she left Wal-Mart and suffered what Mark Piepmeier – the special prosecutor who presented evidence from the case to a special grand jury – called a heart attack.

FTR: I know nothing about those two sources. So, maybe you can find a source that says the woman in the video isn't the victim.

The sources I have seen read as though the woman who died was at the store alone.

The toxicology reports show he had smoked marijuana with two hours of the incident.

Sources now say that she was running with her daughter age 9 or 10.

Other sources mention that she was with two of her children. Whatever the case, she collapsed in front of one or both of them. Tragic. :-(
