When Pat Roberts faced a conservative primary challenge this summer, he did what most Republican senators have learned to do: turn hard right. Now, facing an unexpectedly strong independent challenge, Roberts is doubling down.
On Thursday, the three-term Kansas senator turned to tea party darling Sarah Palin to rally voters behind his flagging campaign. The former Alaska governor praised Roberts for standing with Sen. Ted Cruz a year ago during his marathon floor speech against President Obama's healthcare law, which preceded a strategy that resulted in a government shutdown.
"He [was] one of the few senators fulfilling campaign promises, doing what the American people asked him to do, standing there on the floor with Sen. Ted Cruz to do what they could to get rid of Obamacare," Palin said.

I wanna know when FR turned into RINO central. Even the Viking Kitties are in on this act.
“you cannot die on every hill”
I suppose some think we can just give it all up to the liberals and somehow, someday, after the lefties have stacked all the courts and changed all the rules we can miraculously just take it all back.
Roberts is a conservative.
Ted Cruz spoke highly of Roberts last year when he spoke all night to oppose Obamacare funding.
It makes sense for Sarah to be there.
But it doesn’t mean that McConnell, Graham, Cochran, Alexander and other RINO’s are deserving of our support.....
Ha! Tearing the TEA Party all up? I disagree.
The TEA Party is still a force to be reckoned with, thanks to Sarah and Ted. These two are looking at the big picture, and leading in ways that will benefit this country - AND conservatism, down the road.
I’ll take THEIR strategy, over yours, thanks.
Your PR approach needs work.
Says who? It’s right on and sends the message loud and clear.
Right on!
Amen to that. Every election cycle I have heard the argument that “we’ll teach em and stay home”....”then they will run a more conservative candidate”. Well how is that working out for you?? If they stay home this time there may never be another chance.
get back to me when you grow up enough to join the adult table conversation. As long as you’re going to make straw bullsh-t accusations, I’ve no interest in lowering to your level.
no body said give it all up. JEEZ what a child.
voting for the lessor of two evils is unpleasant, but not unscriptural.
bye pharisee.Your state is a nut burger state, so you’ve done a great job out there. Keep it up.
It hasn’t and you know better. You argue like a childish liberal, exaggerating the other side to try and make yourself look good.
It doesn’t work on anyone with an IQ over 50
“voting for the lessor of two evils is unpleasant, but not unscriptural.”
Yes, Jesus often preached the Gospel of lesser evil. Moses delivered the 10 Suggestions. Genesis tells us of how on the 7th day, God created situational ethics and saw that it was good.
Absolutely.
go away - you aren’t up to this debate. Jesus preached against evil, so if evil is bad, then more evil is more bad than less evil.
Proverbs is full of advice on being prudent. Like I said, this is over your head, bye.
This one definitely gows in Palin’s ‘mistake’ list. It is good that she has done so many things right that she is still over the 80% threshold but backing this fraud is not a feather in her cap.
Unsurprising however is the full throated support for the candidate of flexable residency, by the same names often seen in the company of the phrase “No matter what”.
Anytime you feel like having your limited intellect handed to you on a plate pookie, lets schedule a debate.
If she's all in for Pat Roberts, then it's clearly apparent that he has carefully evaluated all of the factors, weighed them in the balance of prudence and rendered a sound judgement. She's earned the trust of thoughtful people.
Go Pat go! Go Sarah go! Destroy DemonRATS! Restore American values! Woo hoo!
Stop stalking me Admin Moderator. The 2 year old is you. Please go away RINO. Buh bye.
Truth is we have to rally behind someone. Having no horses in race is a surefire way to loses everything no matter what.
You might want to reread my post. I was agreeing with you.
