Ruth Bader Ginsburg goes political: I can’t resign with this Senate

Supreme CourtJustice Ruth Bader Ginsburg took a hard look at the political landscape, saw a Senate that was looming as unfavorable to her leanings and summed up her fate: I can’t resign now — there’s nobody like me who could be confirmed, she said.

“Who do you think President Obama could appoint at this very day, given the boundaries that we have? If I resign any time this year, [Obama] could not successfully appoint anyone I would like to see in the court,” Ms. Ginsburg, 81, said in an Elle Magazine excerpt released on Tuesday. “Anybody who thinks that if I step down, Obama could appoint someone like me, they’re misguided.”

She also said that she’s completely able to “do the job full steam,” arguing that those who say her time to step down has come are wrong, Politico reported.

If it’s Ted Cruz as president, the GOPe in the Senate will probably join the Dems in a filibuster.

Don’t forget this colossal idiot got a 96-3 vote in 1993 in the Senate.

“Andrew Napolitano for Supreme Court?”
How about Judge Pirro?

What a contrast in women’s style and looks between her and the other hags?

Didn’t all the RINOs like Orrin Hatch fall all over themselves slobbering on Ruth Bader Ginsburg, on the grounds that she was “highly qualified,” and didn’t they sneer at and insult all witnesses at her confirmation hearings who suggested that she would rule pro-abortion, etc., on the grounds that “there’s no way to know how a justice will rule on any issue,” and “our only job is to look at their qualifications”?

Byron White was appointed by JFK, so he retired during a Democrat administration. Which meant that White, a dissenter in Roe v. Wade, was replaced by a pro-abort.

David Souter was pro-abortion, and he was appointed by a Republican. But he deliberately resigned while a Democrat was in office, so he would be replaced by a pro-abort.

See how that works?

“Anyone notice that letting women into the SCOTUS hasn’t improved the quality of the institution any?”

At the risk of being branded a sexist, one of the main problems this country has is the females who occupy power.

In the Senate, there is not a single women who can be considered within the top 50% of conservatives in the Senate.

There is a real problem am afraid in general with women running things.

I know about the Palins and Bachmans, but in general there is a real issue.

I think Cruz is young enough that, 10 years from now, when his second POTUS term ends, he'll have a good 20 years left for SCOTUS.
