Some are calling it the “latte salute.”

When President Obama stepped off Marine One at the Wall Street landing zone in New York City, en route the United Nations, he saluted two Marines at the bottom of the stairs as he held a coffee cup in the same hand.

That homme faineant has no clue what the hand salute means either to the subordinate rendering it or to the superior returning it.

Of course, he has never served in the U.S. Military and has absolutely no right to render a military hand salute, even if he were able to do so or cared enough to execute it correctly.

Libs have no clue about military culture, or how offensive that gesture was to somebody who understands or has lived a life of military traditions and culture. The fact that the clowns in the White House thought it was suitable for Instagram raises it from pathetic ignorance to a slap in the face for those who wear, or have worn the uniform.

I told somebody who didn’t “get what the big deal was” to imagine if Bush had said to one of his black Secret Service agents, “Boy, go fetch me some coffee.”

We had a Warrant Officer who was arrested on town and brought before the C.O. Prisoners do not salute while in custody, but this drunken W.O. did while in handcuffs. It was forever known in our unit as the W.O. Dupont salute or simply the DUpont.
