What a shame. She used to come by the Boardroom a lot. She was one of the “famous” people that my wife really liked.
Not so much, now.
I had a conversation about global warming with a young guy at work last week. He’s actaully a very smart and well educated guy, but when it came to AGW, his whole argument was “consensus”.
Amazing, really.
“Consensus” = what an angry mob does after the chants fail to affect change.
The ‘consensus’ argument is easily defeated- just tell them who whole scientific world had previously come to the ‘consensus’ that the world was flat, and the sun went around it.
You just have to remember - AGW is not science anymore, it is religion...

In other words, he believes because he has been told to believe.
Well, he’s well-educated for purpose, at any rate. Did no one ever explain to smart guy (and this never used to need to be explained), that scientific facts are not decided by “consensus”?
