Atlantic City officials have voted to ban the sale of toy guns.
While they're just for play, some look extremely realistic and have even been used in crimes - that's why police are trying to get them off the streets.

Love this comment:
And when the criminals get neon orange krylon paint and spray their entire illegal gun with it...then what?
The 2A must apply to kids. Otherwise, we’ll raise a generation of 2A abolitionists.
No wonder AC is going all to hell. As is the rest of New Jersey.
And I should vote for Chris Christie as president because...?
It has always been illegal to use a toy gun to commit a robbery. If that hasn’t stopped the bad guys, why should this. This is just a way to arrest people not doing anything wrong.
What about baseball bats, crowbars or any other thing that could be used as a club?
This will have the tragic unintended consequence of causing pop tart sales to skyrocket.
most retailers do not sell toy guns. Wal mart, Toys R Us Target. Nothing looking like a real gun. You will find futuristic type space zappers, marshmallow shooters all in bright colors.
How about we ban liberals for once?
I was looking for the satire warning. I see it is real.
Banning Democrats would do more for Public Safety!
Exactly. Soon you'll see AK-47s disguised as Super Soakers.
This just says their cops cannot control themselves and would be shooting kids with toy guns. We’ve already seen this happening. Cops are out of control.
Just what a thriving economy needs to put first on its list of priorities. I can see clearly why the Jersey Shore has become such a desirable refuge of high culture.
Oh, how the elite "controllers" devise ways to "manage" "the People," under the guise of "taking care" of them.
I think the issue is with the air soft models. They are too realistic looking, and most are copies of real military type weapons. i.e. https://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=AwrBTzqW6B5Uvh8AKu5XNyoA?p=air+soft+weapons&fr=chr-greentree_ff&fr2=piv-web
I really miss my old Mattel Fanner 50....
Next on the banned list will be rubber hunting/Bowie knives....not to mention khaki/camouflage clothing because they remind one of them evil military baby killers and instill fear and loathing in all who see them...
they do not have major retailer in AC that would sell toy guns. One mini TRU . Other wise supermarkets, clothing stores, Rite Aid , 7 -11, corner stores. Really banning bodega 99 cent type stores from selling cheap toy guns.
