Navy SEAL Senior Chief Mike Day was the first man through the door into a room hiding four al Qaeda operatives. All four terrorists opened up on him the moment he stepped into view. He was hit 27 times, including 16 shots to the torso, shots to both arms, and shots both legs. A grenade went off, peppering his body with shrapnel. The only place he wasnt hit was in the head.

Yesterday was the last good day.
He was hit 27 times, including 16 shots to the torso, shots to both arms, and shots both legs. A grenade went off, peppering his body with shrapnel. .
Wow. Obviously, it wasn’t his time.
And he was quoted as saying “Is that all you got?”
That is a great story. Thanks for posting it.
Workplace injury. Move on. /s
No doubt the body armor helped in most of the shots but as I recall, it doesn’t cover everything. Arms, legs, crotch, head and neck pretty much there for the taking. It weren’t his time to go.
It is an absolutely amazing story. God has a plan for this man.
You got to figure the ragheads spent their last few moments on earth wondering how Allah expects them to fight supermen.
God, Get Me Home To My Girls. SEAL Survived 27 Shots & Completed His Mission
You can’t hurt a rock.
11 rounds.....
Just wow.
Mike Day was a good example for the muzzies of when Jihad goes wrong.
A New Texas Ranger?
Something you would expect to see only in a movie, even then it can be considered, way over the top.
He makes sure we know who he believes in, this soldier with all humility credits God, almost every battle hardened American soldier will.
The islamist may credit their god, but do so without humility because satan does not approve of such, he prefers the in your face, cut off your head, braggadocios attitude, the islamist is well practiced in pleasing satan, if they want to keep their head.
Atheists in the foxhole? Few.
I agree. Now, I am not up on body armor, but; the following purported to be SEAL body armor?

I do not know if it is? What I would appreciate is a comment from a man who has actually been there and has been shot at least once in the body armor to tell me how effective it was, and; how far the bullet/s penetrate if they did? Did they deflect? Did the bullet/s merely stay in the armor? Please inform if this is nor classified? Thanks.
I’m sure someone will be able to clarify but, if you look at the pictures, you will see pockets for ballistic plates in critical areas in the chest and in the back. There are lots of areas that can and have been penetrated. Sides, armpit area, outside of the ballistic plate coverage. Without the ballistic plates installed things can get dicey quickly.
That’s courage with Swiss Cheese.
