My Mother was the kindest and most gentle soul one could imagine.
When we lived on a farm she would take a chicken and wring it’s neck like it was nothing. She grew up on a large farm and that was just the normal way of living.
That is the normal way of killing a chicken. That is not the Ranger Way which is a brutal, grotesque way of killing a chicken.
A buddy of mine who got his tab in 68 said that the cadre devised this method in Ranger School to wean out the squeamish students.
