An anti-gay billboard is stirring a debate over bullying and religion in a rural community about 30 miles north of Nashville.
The Tennessean reports that the message reads: "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination. God." The sign says it was "paid for by concerned Christians."
Portland resident Ronny Monday, who helped initiate the placement of the $500-per-month billboard, said the Old Testament message was needed to balance against the message from celebrities and President Barack Obama supporting gay marriage.
"People have sat down long enough, and this country is going in the wrong direction," Monday said.

Well done.
Hook up a motion-detector to the billboard and sleep in a van nearby and wait for the inevitable idiot to try and deface the billboard. Then, jump out of van at 3 a.m. in the morning firing blanks and yelling and watch the immoral one jump all the way to the ground in an attempt to escape. lolololol.
Great billboard. Simple, and Holy.
Great idea! Better yet, a bucketfull of Obola ought to scare him off!
One must read further.
You will get a full dose of moral equivocation from Shannon Lynch who has taught philosophy, religion and ethics for the last 14 years.
Per her esteemed opinion, “the old testament no longer applies”.
Sometimes people's true ideas and words (in the news) read like something straight out of the Onion.
This poor woman is saying the exact equivalent of "There is no Hell; that's all Old Testament stuff. In Christianity, Hell doesn't exist"
Astounding. It just astounds me how quickly the demands of the homosexuals have so infected our society that people who profess a knowledge of Christianity will even deny the existence of Hell to avoid being "offensive".
It's truly like we are living in an age of great deception, the "great falling away" so to speak. I never thought I'd live in a time where it was so obvious how far some have fallen.
The Almighty will have the final say and nobody or nothing will overrule Him.
So many people have no respect or fear of Him is a tragedy. Winding up in hell is the absolute worst outcome for anyone. The free gift of salvation is the best gift ever if one believes and receives.
Nice, but why the need for the extra-biblical meme afterword? (No, the “love the sinner” slogan is not explicitly in scripture.)
Just let the Word of God stand on its own.
Lol Obola. This plague should forever be pinned on that clown in the WH.
Quoting the Bible, accurately, is hate?
Jesus spoke of hell and He don’t lie. Exalting one’s words over His is similar to Lucifer exalting his entity over the Almighty. A stupid and dangerous place to be.
She has it exactly backwards. It is the New Testament which speaks of punishment after death. Are there any Old Testament verses which explicitly speak of fire or other torments suffered by the dead? (The closest I can find is II Samuel 22.6, but I think David’s reference to Sheol is treating death itself as the punishment.)
The faggies will probably surround the nearest Chick Fil-A & stage a kiss-in.
I guess she did not read the part where Jesus said he was not here to undo the Old Testament only add to it and fulfill it.
Amen to that!
Wow! A lot of Jews are gonna be upset! As well as Christians!
How is this against being happy??
Awesome point.
