All male universities are vilified by the same people who claim that there is a right and a need for all female universities.
The Boy Scouts comes to mind another British born institution. Are they next. They have already bowed at the altar of Gay.
As the rule making body for golf ( except in the USA ) the R & A is in a somewhat unique position compared to other private clubs. There are hundreds of thousands of women who play golf in countries covered by R & A rules so it’s equitable that they have a say in the way the rules are written. There are women members on the executive committee of the USGA.
