On the eve of the vote for Scottish independence, Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch explained that the election is merely a symptom of an anti-establishment groundswell sweeping through the Western world.
On Friday Murdoch spoke about the impending vote with Fox Newss Neil Cavuto. I think theres meaning in this, and I think it goes beyond Scotland, he said via phone. Theres a great anti-establishment groundswell which is seen in this vote in Scotland. Youre seeing it here in Britain in the anti-European party, whose one single issue is to get out of Europe. And I think youre seeing it in France with the polling for Le Pen I dont think shed win, but you know.
And really, you can take the United States and go across to middle America, he continued. What do they think of Washington, and Wall Street for that matter?

He ain’t wrong.
Sadly, it looks as if ‘Yes’ has fallen short, although it ain’t over till the fat lady sings

I agree with Murdoch.
If there is a significant crash in the US Stock Market over the next 11 months, then I believe we may see a complete meltdown of the global financial system, and government collapsing.
He isn’t wrong. But does Scotland not deserve Independence? They have had to deal with Britain’s rule for centuries. A lot of times trying to get away, but always being forced back into the fold.
It does seem like there is not much trust in government anywhere in the world today. I believe it’s because of the connectivity the world has. Everyone is on the same wave length. Which will ultimately lead to a world government. When I can communicate with a Japanese man who doesn’t speak English, I don’t speak Japanese, and have a coherent conversation. We are in trouble. Just like Babylon.
I listened to this. He is right about the push back on the establishment. In America, he mentioned that the middle of America is getting poorer and the establishment is getting richer. We all know that this has gotten worse under Obama. Obama has set out to bankrupt the middle class.
Anger is on the rise.
Polls showing a 46-47% yes vote. Not enough to pass, but that’s a pretty strong minority.
Scotland’s desire to break away from Great Britain should surprise no one, as one look at world history will show you that no country with a diverse population of different races, languages, and religion has long survived.
Countries dont naturally form with diverse populations, and when in the past theyve occurred its usually been as a result of armed conquest. These unnaturally formed countries have either melded together into a single population made up of one mixed race with one language and one religion or theyve come apart, and theyve usually come apart with extreme violence. The longer these diverse populations are forced to coexist with one another without mixing and becoming one, the more the hatred grows among them and the more violently they break apart, but break apart they will, or genocide will settle the issue once and for all.
Why is this and why cant we all just get along? The truth of the matter is that we (the human race) just arent as civilized as we would like to think we are. Our species, Homo-sapiens-sapiens, isnt that long out of the trees and the veneer of civilization is very thin, to non-existent, upon us all. Were all carrying the genes that got us here and some of those genes carry a very basic survival instinct that has allowed us to survive thus far.
This most basic of all survival instincts is self-preservation and its the one that warns us to be very wary of those who are different than us, our family, and our tribe. Those who possessed this survival instinct survived and reproduced, and those who had no fear/distrust of strangers didnt survive. Over the years, this survival instinct has been referred to as tribalism, nationalism, ethnocentrism, racism, and various other isms, but its an inborn instinct carried in our genes whether we like it or not.
Interestingly, I was listening to BBC radio 5 and they were interviewing the millenniums. Most are voting yes and they said all the no campaign had to offer was bad things that would happen and they couldn’t assert anything that was good about the union. Pretty astute for 16 year olds.
Watching the liveblog on Breitbart. Apparently ‘Yes’ are now more confident than they were half an hour ago...
this is tense
Yes, in our nation, millions of citizens see Obama's "Justice" Department covering up massive scandals (IRS, Fast and Furious, Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of our government), they see Obama ruling by "Executive Order", they see our rights and liberties as guaranteed under the Constitution treated with contempt by all three branches of government (especially the courts), and they see our financial debt reaching crisis proportions.
Nigel Farage was on immediately after Murdoch. He says there must be change toward greater independence and greater representation.
Nobody says it, but I think they would be a whole lot better off with an electoral system more like our own.
Yep. Scotland has been brutalized for centuries by the throne. It’s time to cut that cord for good. I hope they vote yes.
All true.
This is Obama's Amerika.

Furthermore, I believe Obama is a Muslim who has deliberately fueled the rise of the Islamic Caliphate.

Even some conservatives like Jay Sekulow keep repeating the Obama is not cheering on the Muslims, but that he is "wrongheaded" and "distracted." Wrong. His policy in the Middle East is succeeding. He wants to see Israel destroyed by the Muslims. Obama's 2009 Cairo Speech was one of the most shocking things I had ever heard any US politician say - - Obama started the "Arab Spring" that has been a disaster for Christians, Jews, and all of the once free people in the Middle East.
If No wins, it will be due to mail ballots apparently. Ripe for fraud...
The Scots didn’t seem too upset when a leftist was in control. They are off the charts socialist. Farage did mention that.
These big conglomerations of nations, and states, benefit the global socialists. We can see that now.
The only reason for the Scots to leave is that they aren’t happy with how the handouts are going. Either way, they will get more say in things.
I don't want to read things into Murdoch's "ant-establishment" term. Can somebody flesh that out for me? For example, does he mean things like "crony capitalism," or something along the lines of progressivism-pushed global warming alarmism?
I think that since he is a capitalist who doesn't support capitalism that he hypocritically means anti-crony capitalism.
Here we go...
Voter fraud now alleged in Glasgow.
In other news, Senator Al Franken has appeared in a Scottish pub
If Scotland votes independence, Goldman Sachs and the NYC banker status quo crowd will shake in their greedy little bailed out boots.
Iceland told them where to go after the usurious bastards pinned them to a wall, while those pinned to the wall received no benefit.
I’m a free market fan not a crony capitalist or a believer in debt. People and nations need to stay out of debt instead of getting into debt. They will fare better.
