Americas immigration system is a mess and reforming it would help the economy, House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday.
Speaking at the American Enterprise Institute about resetting Americas economic foundation Boehner addressed immigration reform when asked by a member of the audience.
Yeah, I think immigration reform would help our economy, but youve got to secure the borders first weve got a mess and I think everybody knows weve got a mess. Our legal system is broken, our borders arent secure. And then weve got the problem of those that are here without documents, Boehner said.
It needs to be fixed, he continued. Were a nation of immigrants. The sooner we do it the better off the country would be.

Somebody needs to throw that soak into the drunk tank.
America can close the border and tweak immigration law to BENEFIT America by enforcing current law. Don’t be fooled by all the talk.
“NO MORE GOP.”
no more Obama and certainly no Future Prez. Hillary. did you leave out a 3rd reference to Romney from your rant? Diogeknees has a fixation with Romney the same way demoncrats fixate on Bush. why don’t you just save yourself some typing and only post Romney’s name whenever you feel the need to post something.
The GOP is finished once BO gets thru with this country, as the takers will outnumber the makers by a wide margin. save your pennies as taxes are going to have to go up to support all these invading moochers. elected conservatives will only be remembered as fossilized remains from a distant era when America was still respected around the world.
I fired off a super nasty letter to the GOP over this comment out of this jackass today. Enriching his ownself is all he cares about.
The guy is a total moron.
It’s a world of immigrants, and nations have a right and duty to enforce their immigration laws.
This idiot cannot shutup about amnesty for illegal aliens.
:^)
Yesterday, Speaker Blank Check Boehner approved the spending of $ 500,000,000 of US Taxpayer Dollars to train 5,000 Syrian Muslim Rebels in Saudi Arabia for one year.
Here are a few discussion points that were NOT mentioned by Boehner:
* Each Syrian Muslim Rebel will cost $ 100,000 to train.
* 5,000 Syrian Muslim Rebels will be removed from the battlefields in Syria to a training site in Saudi Arabia for one year.
* The removal of 5,000 Syrian Muslim Rebels will leave their families with reduced protection from attack by Syrian Army troops, for one year.
* The removal of 5,000 Syrian Muslim Rebels will leave their families with NO protection from attack by ISIS troops, for one year.
* The removal of 5,000 Syrian Muslim Rebels from the battlefields of Syria will help both the Syrian and ISIS troops to more easily take over areas controlled by the Syrian Muslim Rebels.
BTW, before the US Senate approved Boehners Bailout Bill today did any US Senator mention that removing 5,000 Syrian Muslim Rebels from the battlefields of Syria, was in effect, Giving Aid and comfort to the ENEMY for the period of one year?
Those are such great observations. Thanks.
Just think about this. Reagan has been blasted for decades for helping the Afghanistan people fight off the U. S. S. R. after it invaded. Who was blasting him? Leftists non-stop, and sadly not just a few people on the Right also. It was proof to them that we shouldn’t engage around the world. How very sad IMO. The Afghanistan people defeated the U. S. S. R. with Reagan’s help. How about that!
Now we find ourselves in a situation in Syria where you can’t identify a good guy to save your A. One day they’re ours, the next they’re al Qaeda’s, and the next they’re off to join ISIS.
Who are we training there and why?
You pointed out something I had thought of, but then I hadn’t heard the whole plan either.
I do find it very interesting that our “BIGGEST ENEMY IN THE MIDDLE EAST” according to some folk around here, is allowing us to use their soil for this training.
None the less, I don’t agree with it.
I say kick ISIS’ A and leave the Syrians to settle their own scores.
I have never been a big fan of Assad, but here again, we could do a lot worse. We’re undoubtedly training people our armed forces will have to deal with later.
We train these folks with the latest weapons and tactics, they go home and train others, and then we wonder why we are fighting an improved more effect terrorist.
DUH to the X.
Local guys I have no problem with. I’m talking Boehner and McConnell. Didn’t mean to lump in your group.
