....And not just only the pros, such as the NFL, but also the college game.

I’m enjoying a football free life.

I’m with you. The NHL training camps are just around the corner.
Go NY Rangers.

Best thing on TV is “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries”.

Of course, it’s an Australian show. Thank God that in these days of the internet, I’m not restricted to watching what the tyrants in NY and LA decide I should be watching.

Given the alternatives of reality television, gay-laden sitcoms and innumerable cop/detective shows, Football *is* the best thing on network television.

Agreed. and even my two dogs run to the couch whenever I say “Premier League.” They watch the EPL with me weekend mornings.
They are just not into football (almost four hours of commercials with occasional plays sandwiched in between with many of the plays having to be re-done because of holding penalties). The most the dogs will tolerate is a few minutes of NFL Red Zone.

And don’t forget, “Justified” and “The Americans”.

I do long for the bygone days of female roller derby though

I really have to wonder why some enterprising entrepreneur doesn't bring back the female roller derby. It seems a natural for today's day and time, possibly with a few variations...skimpy costumes a must!

Surely not....in the days before internet and cable, 35-40% audience was not uncommon. Nowadays even 10% audience is great.

Correct, but up from last year. Fans don’t care, they want their circus.
