If they plan on using a visitor visa (which they all do) to the U.S. they dont.
Ill fund your humanitarian mission to Liberia steve86
Set it up yourself, I never said anything about going to Liberia. Good luck with them.
No ebolavirus-specific treatment exists TexasGator/
Then why do all the people who come to America for treatment survive?
Youre a freakin mis-informer. jacknhoo
Then document the ebola cases in the U.S. I work in this issue. You have no idea what's going on and you are the Conservative equivalent of a global warming alarmist.
If ebola starts sweeping through the U.S., Ill resign my 12 year status as a Freeper and my 7 year status as a dollar a day member. It aint gonna happen.
The US healthcare system goes into panic overdrive over the annual flu. And it has a what? less than 1% death rate? They can not stop it or even slow it down.
We have a virus that has a demonstrated 50+ % death rate with supportive care and it poses no risk to the US? The transmission rate is increasing, indicating it may be mutating into a more infectious strain. Even as it existed a month ago, it is uncontrollable by those that are experts on the disease and have actual hands on experience with it.
Over 399 trained health workers have come down with ebola, more than half are now dead. But it can’t happen here?
Look up the Spanish Flu and see what it did, this disease is worse, and there are no treatments other than supportive care, and no prevention other than absolute quarantine.
The civilized world will enact strict quarantine to control outbreaks of foot and mouth disease (including quarantining people suspected of just exposure), but the won’t take the same measures to protect people from ebola? Criminal negligence at the very least.
They survived because they received top-notch supportive care that bought them time until their own bodies mounted a sufficient immune response to fight off the disease.
No doubt, if there was equivalent care in Africa, the death rate would be lower than its current 50-60%.
“If they plan on using a visitor visa (which they all do) to the U.S. they dont.”
Yes, because sailors who see prostitutes are a paradigm of honesty and integrity and would admit to such illegal activity promptly when asked. I forgot.
