Texas Sen. Ted Cruz accused top U.S. military officials of behaving like social workers in Iraq and Syria rather than showing military strength.
In an interview Tuesday night with Fox News Sean Hannity, Mr. Cruz said he was disappointed by responses from Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey after he questioned them at a Senate hearing on the administrations plan to defeat the Islamic State.
Frankly, their answers were far more those you would expect of a social worker, than of military leaders, Mr. Cruz said.
The Republican senator, who is considering a bid for the GOPs 2016 presidential nomination, said that he pressed Gen. Dempsey and Mr. Hagel for a strategy to militarily destroy the Islamic State within 90 days, but was told that the current strategy was focused on solving political issues in the region.
When I asked General Dempsey, militarily, how would we go in and kill the terrorists before theyre able to take jihad to America, his answer was, Well, we need to see political reconciliation, Mr. Cruz said.

Obama’s parents and the parents associates were communists not socialists, all the way from Indonesia to Hawaii to Chicago

When it collapses, a lot of us will be able to say “I told you so”. But it will be because it collapsed.

I agree. His wording was the best part. The guy is, frankly, too good to be true.

Gosh, Cruz needs to stay in the Senate where he can do the most good, and then when he gets some experience, then he can run in 2024 when Hillary’s two terms are up.
/sarcasm, as if you couldn’t tell

what is the punishment for treason? Mostly you get to be a Senator or Secretary of State, even possibly President.

Bernard McGuire was yammering about Cruz saying, ‘ I do not like that man!’
Stating what we’re going to hear from the left, ‘oh he’s goo serious, he’s not cute, his wife works, he is not perfect, he likes guns...’
They won’t answer the question but who do they think is going to build the military, get us to even look at a 18 trillion dollar debt and to get over amnesty?
Who do they want? Spoiled overpaid undereducated dopes with microphone power. Grrrr!
Someone with charisma?
What do they want?

I was looking for Cruz’s solution and not your’s. He wants to be president. It’s one thing to talk. It’s another to have answers.

absolutely. The military to liberals is a social experiment laboratory, not something to defend the country and it’s citizens.
