A top Arizona Republican Party official and former lawmaker who championed a strict immigration law that sparked a national debate in 2010 has resigned after saying women on Medicaid should be required to use birth control or be sterilized.

Republicans should know by now that only Democrats can express themselves such as “What difference does it make?”
I thought it was McInsane.
I once got chastized by some Catholics on here saying the only way to fix Detroit is by crashing a tanker truck full of Depo-Provera into the municipal water supply.
Now this might result in a lightning strike but, here goes;
Uhmmm yeah, close your legs or put some blank in between your lover and yer uterus.
How, in the hell, is your unwanted pregnancy the responsibility of your lover or society, given all the tools to prevent conception?
I.U.D’s, 30 day cycle pills, sponges, etc.
That Shiite is on you!
There is no reason for an unwanted pregnancy in today’s society, that unnessarily burdens you or anyone else.
You no longer have the right to lay claim on mans life for your mistake.
Hey, if you were both in it, fine.
But, surprise! This is your child crap is over.
Spend a few bucks and save a child from the horrors your crappy decisions will inflict upon a child.
One child per couple on welfare. Half payments if they wont turn in the daddy!
Make it so they need to be a family unit again instead of street savages.
What the hell, he’s just agreeing with Progressive heroine Margaret Sanger!
Next thing you know some is going to say that drug testing welfare recipients violates their basic ‘merican rights in the gimmedat state.
More fatherless dependents means more checks from Big Daddy Sam.
Most average taxpayers, seeing welfare rolls explode, probably agree.
Never mind trying to point out that Margaret Sanger was much more vile in her advocacy for forced sterilization of the poor and “feeble”. She even suggested offering them a government check if they’d get the procedure done. She also advocated finding friendly preachers in the black community to hush the fears that their numbers were being reduced by the “family planning” groups.
The media will try but fail. This guy was not even an elected official. Hardly a “Top Republican.”
I think women on welfare who keep having children while on welfare should be sterilized.
Be it known that I reject this guy’s comments and I reject the comments of fellow Freepers who don’t reject this guy’s comments. He is done in politics. There are enough right-wing Catholics in the GOP to silence his voice and the voices of his sympathizers.
Right on Russ.
Man took a bullet from a Mexican jerk when he was a cop.
His son was shot by an illegal during a raid. 5 times.
And nothing wrong with telling the thugettes they cant add more snouts to the public trough.
“You no longer have the right to lay claim on mans life for your mistake.”
You sound like a liberal who thinks men don’t have t take responsibility for their actions.
I agree except I think your statement “who keep having” is way too liberal. One can be a mistake. Two is not. But this should also apply to guys. Second child they father without accepting total financial and family responsibility and it should be off to the doctor for a vasectomy.
If Republicans are opposed to subsidized birth control under any circumstances, they are condemned. And if they suggest that women SHOULD or MUST or NEED to use birth control (the position of feminists) they are also condemned.
You sound like a liberal who thinks men dont have t take responsibility for their actions.
Yeah, but I think it was to illustrate the hypocrisy of the liberal position. If a woman has a right to choose, why not a man?
