I think electric vehicles are the way of the future, but battery tech is not there yet. It will catch up.
Also, the EV industry must survive without subsidies. Same goes for solar and wind.

An honest comparison of the environmental impact of an electric car versus a gas car, from the first step of construction until the end of its effects on the earth, would show that electric cars are far, far more environmentally damaging than any gas car.
