Snowden has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and several have argued that he should get it this year.
Currently, he has been granted asylum in Russia, but the United States wants him to be arrested and extradited.
Dagbladet has asked Conservative Party (Høyre) politician Tetzschner whether the Norwegian police may arrest a person coming to the country to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. The parliamentary representative believes Norwegian police can and should arrest Snowden.
- In principle, we care principle of equality. In addition, Norway honor the agreements we have signed, which also ensures extradition to Norway, he said.
Talking to NTB, Norwegian think-tank organization PRIO director Kristian Berg Harpviken agrees with Tetzschner that Norway legally may not have any choice but to arrest Snowden.
- Among other things because of these issues so I do not think he receives this years award, says Harpviken.
Didn’t they already award prizes to Yassir Arafat and Barry Soetoero ?
Can’t we give H0lder the NPP and arrest him?
Just send the check to Russia baby!
They had better hurry. Gang-raping Muslims soon to be majority. Hey Ole, WTF are you people thinking?
I know some Norwegian engineers (Atmel Norway) and they are F#cking brilliant. :-)
If they arrest him, I hope every hacker on earth retaliates. The US gov has no credibility to enforce its ethics when it operates outside of its own standards. Laws are meaningless shen the ones who create and uphold them are corrupt and lawless.
Dagbladet. It was worth reading just to see that name.
Yup, and Algore. Hitler was actually nominated, but he didn't get it.
OK! Well if they are so frackin' btilliant, tell'em to lay off the lutefisk and save their frackin' country from the Muslims and the Loonie Left Lutherans. (Unless they want all their brilliant engineering to go Sharia on them.)
I have suggested as much to them....
