When I was a young man, I knew people that would make crap up and say it with an authoritative straight face just so they could pretend they were the smartest person in the room. Kinda like the Stephen Hyde character on "That 70's Show" while the nondescript smoking item is being passed around in the basement. All of them that I knew outgrew that habit. John Kerry never did.
