Here we go again with “NFL” issues.
He was just too Nineteenth Century.
This is bad for the NFL, especially involving a kid.
Thank goodness ... At first I thought they were referring to the star of my favorite TV program!
HOLY CRIP I was spanked with a belt when i was bad..
That story is that an eleven-year old boy from Minnesota went to spend a few days with Peterson. The boy was not Peterson's son. When the boy returned home, his mother noticed marks on the boy's body and took him to a physician.
The physician called the police.
I don't know which story is true, but the second story is currently being reported as much as the 'son and a switch' story.
"No details of the exact cause of the charges have been released yet."
Discussion appears premature.
My grandmother used a switch on me. Mom used a hairbrush. My wife used a wooden spoon on our kids while I spanked with my hand...perhaps three times total for all four kids.
I got the message sent via the willow switch & hairbrush.
Our kids learned quickly from the wooden spoon and hand.
The message was, “You are loved, and there are standards we expect of you BECAUSE we love you. This is an emphasis of that fact.”
The US has allowed the loonies to run the asylum.

Report: Adrian Peterson’s young son dies after alleged assault
October 12, 2013
(CNN) — A 2-year-old boy who was reportedly the son of Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson died Friday of injuries he suffered after allegedly being abused, police said.
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, police said Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated battery of an infant and aggravated assault. If convicted on the charges, both felonies, Patterson could face up to 40 years in prison and an $80,000 fine.

I was spanked as a child, with a belt, but I never bruised, nor bled from it.
Also, was this another of Peterson's children? How many different women has he had children with? Or why is some woman shipping her child to a football player?
I first though, good grief! they are prosecuting discipline to guarantee their future careers!
BUT - I read the article and looked at the pictures. It seems excessive - but I never read what instigated the whipping. Did the kid rape a little girl? - then it wasn’t nearly enough. Did he not change his underwear, then WAAAAAAAY too much.
The libs mouths are watering because they got the NFL in a vice grip now. The libs are after them. They see the revenues the league is getting and they want their piece of it through the concussion lawsuits and the eventual bureaucratic control of the sport. Next they will be scrutinizing the league’s tv and merchandising contracts. Why do you think ESPN and those networks that televise NFL games have been quick to condemn Rice as fast as they can? Oh man, the NFL execs have no clue what troubles they unleashed on themselves. They left a crack in their windows and the lib snakes are just slithering in. Professional football in America is about to change for the worst and it has nothing to do with what’s happening on the field of play.
After one incident, Phil told the boys and a couple of other kids who were involved in the incident that they all were getting 3 licks, told the neighborhood kids if they didn't take the licks they could never come back to their house again. They took the licks.
A spanking?
Guess we’ll never see real football news.My husband and I just switch the channels. They wonder why their ratings are going down.Hire class you get class.
Just read the article. He did what someone should never do. He hit the child while he was angry. Even admitted he went overboard with one of the licks.
We used to get “the paddle” at school. They drilled holes in it so you wouldn’t get that air cushion effect. Sure it hurt, but mostly it was humiliating. I still want to stomp that teacher forty five years later.

Why did he need a weapon to discipline his four year old child?
I bet this is going to be become a daily occurrence
