Russia is developing an array of new nuclear and conventional weapons to counter recent moves by the U.S. and NATO, President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday as the military successfully tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile launched from a nuclear submarine.

Putin accused the West of using the crisis in Ukraine to reinvigorate NATO, warning that Moscow will ponder a response to the alliance's decision to create a rapid-reaction "spearhead" force to protect Eastern Europe

Nothing new ... this has been the way since the beginning of time. putin might want to look around himself and russia since he has no clue apparently of whom has and whom will come against him. putin can rant and rave for all America should care. putin, the former soviet state handed out weapons all the time. Russia has developed and deployed several missile systems that are hypersonic closing at just under Mach 3, four meters off the surface.

China's hypersonic submarine is theory, however they have a few successful hypersonic torpedo tests with dummy warheads.

Putin restarted the Cold War when he invaded US ally Georgia unprovoked, exterminating and ethnically cleansing thousands of innocent civilians, and when he armed Sudan and Hizballah terrorists, and when he supplied the Ayatollah with enriched uranium.
