Army officer is told not to enter his daughters high school because he's wearing his uniform

ROCHESTER, Mich. (WJBK) - Lieutenant colonel Sherwood Baker was just a father trying to help his daughter find her way at her new high school.

Sherwood who has served in the Army for 24 years was told by Rochester Adams high school security that if he wanted to get into the high school with his daughter he was going to have to go home and change his clothes.

Baker's wife Rachel Ferhadson says, "before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you're not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren't allowed because it may offend another student."

Just watched a segment from Fox and FRiends. They interviewed his wife, and she said that they have received apologies from numerous administration of the school. She mentioned the superintendent of the school who is a Marine, is outraged by the policy.

Guess he better check the policies at his own school.

I for one, miss my dungarees and boondockers in the Navy. I remember we weren't allowed to wear them anywhere off-base or outside of work (of course, they wouldn't have been much for picking up women anyway).

They don't even have to iron these new things before they go to work!
