Certainly not seeing this as a ‘swipe’ at rich kids. Although her ‘street language’ is meant to connect with these students, she is telling them a truism here...
You got to get your education in order to be like the rich folk,
Instead of saying: You have to get an education in order to aspire to become wealthy.
The kids would not understand that language.

True, not a swipe but a call to embrace education. Of course as a tax payer I cringe at the (Probably forced) grammar displayed in a formal setting by a highly educated woman and First Lady in order to appeal to those being educated.
We might as well tell the kids that ‘Animal House’ was correct when the character Bluto said the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor during a passionate appeal as well. Education is about Truth, not bowing down to the lowest common denominator in order to "relate".

If anything, she is affirming the fact that most rich people got that way by making good decisions, in this case the decision to pursue a good education.
Her statement seems to contradict the Marxist view that rich people got that way by exploiting the powerless.
