I bought a 50” Phillips HD LCD that has a beautiful picture for less than $500. My how these things have come down in price since I spent $7,000 on a 50” plasma 12 years ago. Lots a new technology too like transmitters so you don’t need to hard wire the cable to the TV from the set top box.

He’s doing fine; thanks for asking.
I just received his DoD-authorized WWII replacement medals/ribbons/lapel pins - Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct - which were stolen many years ago, and gave them to him yesterday. There’s a slew of European Campaign ribbons that I can’t get replaced, but I’m working on his unit patches and sgt stripes. He was overwhelmed that I remembered.
