Sen. Mark Udall on Monday apologized for saying that two reporters beheaded by militants in the Middle East would agree that the United States should not "be impulsive" in responding to their deaths.
Udall, a Democrat, made the comments in an untelevised debate with challenger Rep. Cory Gardner on Saturday night in the western Colorado town of Grand Junction. Udall has been criticized by Republicans for saying the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, which currently controls much of Iraq's heartland, is not an imminent threat to the United States. At the debate, he argued that the two American journalists whose beheadings it filmed and released would agree with him.

Sounds like Mark Begich in Alaska using the death of a family to further his campaign. Begich is now behind in the polls.
“Udall, a Democrat,”
Shocking.

Thanks, george76
Rather than help him, the apology will only hurt Udall.
I hope he keeps it up.
Udall had to reattach their heads to put self serving words into their mouths.....
Gardner is a top tier candidate and this is a very close race. Udall can’t afford ANY mistakes, but I hope he keeps putting his foot in his mouth. It’s quite revealing (and scary as heck) when a Rat slips and says what he/she really thinks.
What a friggin’ idiot. If the people of Colorado reelect that meat-head...... I’m speechless.
The party is mentioned in only the second paragraph? What happened to the game of "Guess the Party" when a Democrat misbehaves with the press putting the party in paragraph 23 after two page changes?
Fortunately, enough Democrat voters in CO may be too stoned to show up at the polls.
Udall is channeling the journalist
Udall needs to crawl back under his liberal rock.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Whole family ain't worth snot.
And as you probably know, NM is stuck with a Udall.
Yep, they’re crap.
Udall’s are Mormons of Harry Reids ilk. Where’s the stories of their underpanties we heard about Mitt? CO’s Udall is running on abortion, cause that’s all he’s got. Missing for 5 years, like Bennet, they’ve done nothing for CO.
You’re exactly right. You must be in CO.
This apology, like most politically motivated apologies, is just another lie. They are only words to take the stain off of the politician. That they are taken seriously is the problem.
He is the Rat senator I would most like to see lose.
