It's like a local issue where someone builds a thirty house development in an area that's always been farmland and is still full of active farms. Then they start complaining about the noise of large tractors, the smell of fertilizer in the spring, so on and so on. Even about dust drifting off the roads through large fields and settling on a public road that no one in the development ever needs to use unless they're wondering around sight seeing.
The environmentalist azzholes don't want anyone to raise hogs and any lie or line of crap they think will float they'll use to keep farmers in court and cost them money. That's all it is, harassment because they hate hogs and bacon.
