Many believed it was a matter of when not if someone would leak additional footage of the Ray Rice elevator incident.
They were right.
Early Monday, TMZ published what it said was video from inside the elevator at the shuttered Revel Casino in Atlantic City, where Rice was arrested on Feb. 15 for a domestic dispute involving his now-wife Janay.
The video shows Rice hitting Janay with his left hand, which knocks her into the railing before she hits the floor. Rice then drags his apparently unconscious fiancee out of the elevator.

That is what I was thinking. Unless she signed a prenup, she could end up a few years down the road with half of what Ray earns from NFL(assuming she survives).
knocking out fiancée .... suspended for the first two games!
Yeah. Probably. It's sad. In fear for her life, but unwilling to do anything about it. Why do women (or some men, even) continue to live like that? Fear of the unknown being worse than the known?
how the heck are we supposed to figure out what is on the film when it does so much stop and go, reversing, and jerking around?
very irresponsible onteh part of the ‘news’ organization posting that they can’t even show the film as is without altering it.
Why do women (or some men, even) continue to live like that?

Usually, I think, they have grown up in households where this is the way people treat one another. Sad, isn’t it?
Ray Rice was just defending himself.
She could have hurt him, ended his carreer perhaps.
She had no hard feelings, she married him to keep riding that NFL gravy train.
..some sarcasm, but not much.
How the NFL responded is another story.
That simple.
Uh...didn’t she marry him? Why is this our concern?
Baltimore needs to cut play him guarantee salary.
Exactly. Sorry, but this is NOT a smoking gun. More like films of “orbs” taken by ghost nuts. Doesn’t prove anything, only that bugs and glare were probably in the room.
Excellent summary. It is not at all clear what Rice did, either. Get a better film. I could see her coming after him and being quite aggressive, but that is all I can tell. They were both arrested for assault.
As for the hoohah over the elevator external earlier, why is this such a big deal? If she was drunk out of her mind, she would be hard to pick up. I did not see anything so dreadful about this little guy trying to drag his girlfriend out of the elevator doors.

Same judge who let him enter pretrial intervention program turned down the woman who accidentally brought her gun with her from New Jersey. She had a permit for New Jersey.
He knocked her out.
What more do you need to know?
Anyone else would be in for a long jail sentence, since we have a video and we don’t need the woman’s testimony at all.
Keepin’ the pimp hand strong . . .
Did I read the article right? She WAS his fiancé when this beating took place, but now shes his wife? WTHeck?
In some cultures the ritualistic beat down is often used as foreplay for the soon to follow spiritual and sexual coupling.
1) she picked him in the first place
2) she stayed with him, and even married him
frankly, if you accept that kind of treatment, who am i to interfere?
no shortage of stupidity here.
Well, you are your brother’s keeper.
How do you know she does not fear for her life if she tries to get help/get out/testifies?
What I’m saying is that we have a videotape.
So, we don’t need the woman’s testimony.

legally you may be right, however she didn’t have to continue to see him, or to marry him. there are plenty of options for abused women. inf act, plenty of abused women, with even less privilege and personal resources manage to escape worse relationships.
she can’t be stupid enough to believe that getting the snot beat out of you is a sign of love, or even normalcy. she had/has options. she chose, and continues to chose abuse, for whatever reason.
there are plenty of abused women who want out but need help to waste time on one who willingly goes even deeper.
Well, maybe now that the video is public, Rice will get the jail time he deserves.
The NFL is apparently saying they did not see the part inside the elevator when they decided on the punishment.
Daylight tends to clear up matters.
