Rep. Gwen Moore (D WI)detained at fast food protest over minimum wage

Police detained Rep. Gwen Moore, who was participating in a protest by fast food workers pressing for an increase in the minimum wage, according to news reports.

Moore was picketing along with protesters outside of a restaurant in West Milwaukee. WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) reported that arrests were made at the event. The nonprofit group Wisconsin Jobs Now tweeted a photo of Moore apparently being handcuffed. WISN-TV (Channel 12) reported Moore was detained.

Oh... you may be on to something -

one of the things that libs have always hated about McDonald’s is their ability to feed millions on the cheap.

And of course, your second paragraph hits on another of their attacks on the producers in this country - raise prices on food in general so that it’s unaffordable without “assistance”, then jack up taxes on those who STILL insist on not being dependent on gov’t in order to pay for the increases in “assistance”.

I think any picketed fast food restaurant should just “close” for the day — for the safety of patrons, of course — after advising its staff that, although each will receive his “scheduled” pay for THAT day, continued disruption by the protestors might force that restaurant to close permanently.

Not that I expect news articles nowadays to actually contain, well... news, but I was wondering - was Moore detained or arrested, and why? Trespassing? Littering? Public drunkeness? Being a demonicrat?

Do we need fast food? Here’s an idea - buy some damn groceries. Fix a sandwich (it’s really easy; all you do is spread something like butter, peanut butter and/or jelly on one side of each slice of bread and then mash them together: hint, you mash the sides together that have the spread), heat up a can of soup (man, this is tough), romam (sp?) noodles, pork n’beans, bbq some hamburgers, fix a salad, etc. etc. etc.

All this garbage that we ‘need’ to pay despondent workers $15.00 an hour because they can’t feed a family of four at $7.25 an hour! Like fast food restaurants are really ‘needed’ in this country.
