Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has a prescription for how to handle Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants: Convert them or kill them.
Appearing on Fox News on Tuesday evening, the reality television personality quoted several verses from the Bible and asked why ISIL harbors hatred for the U.S. even as the military has increasingly withdrawn from the region.
Host Sean Hannity argued that ISIL is at war with us and creates a significant threat to the U.S. and Israel, regardless of how the Obama administration or the American people view the group.
You either have to convert them which I think would be next to impossible. Im not giving up on them, but Im just saying, either convert them or kill them, Robertson responded, likening ISIL militants to street thugs on steroids.
I see nothing wrong with his solution.
The libs hated this!
Is there a third option?
I am with Phil and Jesus
And the problem with this statement is...
Rock on Phil. Page from their book. It is the only thing they understand. Of course they’re happy to go in the course of their quest for a CALI-fate.
Which is the same as saying ‘convert them or defend yourself from them’.
A couple of threads from days past if anyone is interested

Sadly no, and the sooner we start the better.
In order to “convert” them we must destroy their faith
in the omnipotence of Allah, this can only be done
by destroying completely the centers of that faith.
Oh the horror, some will say. Yet is that not better
than exterminating billions, or being exterminated ourselves.
The difference between his solution and the Islamists’ position is that his acknowledges that we’d be killing them not because they don’t believe as Christians do, but in self-defense, because they have clearly stated that they intend to kill all non-Muslims who don’t convert or submit.
I have no problem with Phil’s position at all.
His answer is spot on.
RE: I view conversion as the same as assimilation coming from their POV
Christian conversion is DIFFERENT from Islamic conversion.
Christians do not believe in “You either convert or be killed or pay an infidel tax” type of evangelism.
You have to TRULY believe in your heart. Otherwise the “conversion” is fake and meaningless.
Let’s start issuing licenses and tags and send America’s hunters over to Iraq. We’ll bag the whole lot of them in a couple of months using Duck Dynasty duck calls....
Would converting one of them (however unlikely) after all his atrocities spare him the penalty for his crimes?
If you mean the eternal penalty... yes... it would spare him.
The idiot liberal media will, of course, completely misunderstand what Phil Robertson is saying and label him a “Christian Taliban” or some such nonsense.
The members of ISIS are engaging in acts of depraved evil: murdering children by dismemberment, persecution of Christians and Jews, and seek to create mayhem and war wherever they can.
This kind of serious, depraved evil only has two solutions: one is for God to reveal Himself to them, for them to put their own pride and selves aside, and to embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, because that Word is the only thing that can cleanse them of their sins.
But God does not force anyone to accept Him. If they reject Him (as seems likely) then the kind of evil they perpetuate can only be dealt with in one way.
