I have to say, he has a point. Out of the 2.5 billion who self-identify as Christians, a large number can’t be serious about their faith, or the world would look much different than it does. No, many of those people are “Christians” because their parents and grandparents were “Christians”, and they probably put less thought into that choice than they do what brand of car they drive or what kind of music they listen to.

The average self-styled Christian does not know anything about Christianity and identifies as Christian only nominally.
