Sisi Blames Israeli Lack of ‘Peace’ For Islamic State

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi blamed Israel for fueling terrorism in the Middle East by not making peace with the Palestinian Authority (PA) on Wednesday, in light of the tensions between the West and the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).

The lack of a “peace process” in Israel contributes to a “fertile environment for the growth and spread of extremism, violence and terrorism,” claimed Sisi, who violently overthrew former President Mohammed Morsi last July 3. […]

Sisi has been critical towards Israel, despite serving as mediator between the Jewish state and the terrorist organization Hamas in negotiations that led to a ceasefire deal last Tuesday. It is worth noting that during elections in May, he said he would be open to amending the peace treaty with Israel.

Just this Monday, two days before his most recent denouncement of the lack of “peace,” Sisi slammed Israel’s plans to declare 4,000 dunams (988 acres) of empty unclaimed land in Judea, mostly in Gush Etzion, as state land. …

So, el-Sisi, the friend of Israel and enemy of Hamas, and who is he siding with now? This is always been who he is.

ISIS is not the fault of Israel. I’m disappointed to see Pres, Sisi going back to that same poisoned well of jew hatred to explain all life’s hardships through deflection.
FUN FACT: Sisi spells ISIS backward! (Significant? Maybe.)

This is who Sisi is. Morsi didn’t hand-pick him out of some kind of caprice or whim, remember.

Maybe. On the other hand, he did close the Pali tunnels into Egypt, even flooding some of them with raw sewage, which is genius.

I prefer to wait and see what he does, rather than take at face value what he says. If he is a true friend of the Palis he will allow the tunnels to re-open.

The fools.
All the problems of the mid east are due to the handful of Jews... all 5 of them are responsible for the problems of 1.8 billion muslims.

Why can’t they look at their own failures and deal with them???

If he’s gone this far, he’s already admitted he’s no friend of Israel. Blaming Israel for ISIS is echoing the propaganda of “Palestinians” and their allies, never mind going after Israel for claiming Gush Etzion as state land, which is Israel’s right.

That would entail abrogation of Islam. And el-Sisi is a true believer of the Prophet, so that won’t happen on his part.

To a muslim, a ‘lack of peace’ means a ‘lack of capitulation to islam’...................

Especially if he facilitates Mrs. Morsi’s ‘Thighness Letters’ dissemination.

Sometimes talk is just a cover for action. Echoing propaganda is just SOP. He has already stood up to Obammy and the brotherhood.

No he really has not. All he’s done is addressed threats to his power and to Egypt’s security. Demanding that Israel compromise its own security speaks to only one agenda, never mind embracing other enemies of Israel such as Russia.

What’s so hard to believe about his words? He is not on the side of Israel.

This is a very common concept and is called "Linkage" in foreign policy circles. Many Americans believe it. Most military men believe it, including Petraeus

OTOH, the NeoCons bristle when the term is brought up and will respond by saying the only linkage is that other problems in the Mideast cause the Israel Palestine problem.

A lot of info on this can be found by Googling "Israel Palestine Linkage"

“Linkage” looks like it comes from the left. Any Arab (or Muslim no matter what nationality, or left-wing anti-Israel “Christian”) that subscribes to that “nakba” nonsense is going to blame Israel for everything. It’s pure antisemitism. If Petraeus buys that nonsense, then he’s anti-Israel too.

Anyone try spelling “Sisi” backwards?

NOTHING in the Middle East is a COINCIDENCE.

Kidding, right?

You believe what our very own mooselimb-in-chief says? Those rats lie, it's what they do. That's why you watch what they do. If Sisi sees hamass and brotherhood as more of a threat than Israel, good for us.

You’re getting your taqiyyahs mixed up. Anything that comes out of a Muslim’s mouth relating to Israel’s destruction is in earnest; anything to the contrary is the taqiyyah.

El-Sisi does not see the Muslim Brotherhood as more of a threat to Egypt than Israel is. He only sees them as political rivals, as things currently stand.
