NEW ORLEANS (AP) A federal judge has upheld Louisiana's ban on same-sex marriages, as well as the state's refusal to recognize gay marriages legally performed in other states.
U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman's ruling Wednesday ...said gay marriage supporters failed to prove that the ban violates equal protection or due process provisions of the Constitution.
Feldman agreed ...that states have the right to define marriage.

Not exactly.
God defined marriage.
States, and federal courts, have a duty, if we are to have just laws and law enforcement that accords with reality, to agree with Him.
I know this judge. His record is very conservative. I would have been surprised if he had judged in the other direction.
So much for a local District Court ruling. Now on to the regional Circuit Court of Appeals, and eventually SCOTUS.
Sadly, you’re right. Some media outlet will find and publish his home address and his honor will have some unwanted company on his doorstep.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, faggots.
Yup. For many they haven’t agreed with Him since civil divorce and remarriage, for many more since the advent of serial civil divorce and remarriage.
Even if states have the ‘right’ to define marriage as it applies to civil law, well I bet we are less than 20 years away from every state being vulnerable to accepting ‘gay marriage’ by popular vote. Of course that’s assuming there won’t be some massive shift in the culture.

I can't say this enough. Nobody is banning anything. It is merely affirming the timeless definition of something that matters.
Or saved, as the case may be...

Yes! We must. The only way is to win the Senate to hold the line for the next two years. I fear what happens if one of the four conservative judges dies and Obama AND Reid are in charge!
While I agree with you, I wasn’t clear. My fault. I meant under the Constitution. (The States or the people, actually, since defining marriage wasn’t specifically delegated to the Fed.)
Banning “gay marriage” is like passing a law against breeding unicorns, or making pixie dust a Schedule I controlled substance.
I see a audit in his future.
Maybe they’ll trade him to ISIS for a reporter and an ambassador to be named later.
Not to mention Reagan was dealing with a huge Democrat majority in the senate, and Kennedy was not his first choice.
YES! There IS hope!
Such a rare thing that a Federal Judge would actually make a just judgment on a moral issue, I thought that they were all little obamanites , every one a little governor of the nation doing what was right not according to law but rather what they believed what was right in their own eyes.
Finally, a rare honest judge steps forward to do his sworn job.
Have there been any states that have VOTED to legalize gay marriage?
