DOJ Punishes Business for Verifying Employees’ Citizenship!
Conservative Daily ^ | 9-3-14 | Joe Otto

Posted on 09/03/2014 5:34:03 AM PDT by TurboZamboni

While everyone is focusing on what Obama will do with his upcoming illegal alien executive order, the rest of his administration is quietly working behind the scenes to enact amnesty through a piecemeal approach.

Now, we have learned that the Department of Justice is actively targeting businesses and punishing them for trying to verify an employee’s residency status!

That’s right, the DOJ has fined Culinaire International – a restaurant-management company – more than $20,000 because the business had the gall to ask employees to provide proof of legal residency in the United States!

In this case, this company sought to confirm the identity and residency status of one of its employees. The employee in question showed up with two documents: an expired permanent residency card and an up-to-date permanent worker card. The business thought this was fishy, so it required the employee to produce another document definitively proving citizenship or permanent residency.

This makes complete sense. Any business owner would agree with this decision. The DOJ apparently didn’t.

According to Eric Holder’s Justice Department, this company engaged in “citizenship-discrimination” when it asked applicants and employees to prove their citizenship and/or legal residency.

“Employers cannot discriminate against workers by requiring them to produce more documents than necessary in the employment eligibility verification and re-verification processes,” says Molly Moran, the Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights division.

Yes, this is the same DOJ Civil Rights Division that was reprimanded by a New Orleans Judge for “prosecutorial misconduct” in its attempt to convict a New Orleans Police Officer of ‘civil rights violations.’ This Civil Rights Unit was caught red-handed anonymously using social media to “circumvent ethical obligations, professional responsibilities, and even to commit violations of the Code of Federal Regulations.”

Our influence extends much farther than just our vote. That’s why the regime hires people to do propaganda all over the web. That’s why they threatened the media. Etc. The propaganda is even MORE important than the vote, because dead people’s votes can cancel out our votes really easily. I voted against Obama in both elections.

But that wasn’t my primary stand against the lawlessness of his regime, and of the entire system. If it was just Obama being a crook he’d be a crook held in check by the system designed to hold crooks in check. It’s not just him. The whole system is broken. Getting rid of Obama isn’t going to change that. Fixing the system is going to take the hard work of identifying where it went wrong, getting rid of the lawless infiltration of the system, and building up the parts that are corrupted or too weak to fulfill their role in the checks and balances. That is what I have been working on.

The lawlessness of Obama’s regime is widely recognized, finally. Nothing is happening with it, because Congress is going to get the same legal slap-down as the lowly “birthers” got - none of your business, no standing, it’s just “politics”, etc ad nauseum.

If Congress wanted to have a chance at stopping Obama’s lawlessness, they needed to assert the rule of law BEFORE the communist-Islamist coup had 5 years to bring the legal system to its knees. It’s bitter irony that the same mockery they made of people like myself is the mockery they’re going to get from the legal system, media, etc. The horse is already out of the barn. They had a chance to close the gate before that happened, but they chose to call the serious issue of lawlessness a “distraction” or an “embarrassment” to them.

And those who laughed along with them in their mockery of the issue made it so very easy for them to sell the country down the river. The checks and balances require our vigilance BETWEEN elections as well as the second Tuesday in November.

If somebody who can’t swim jumps into the deep end, you should jump after them to save them if you are able, or you should call somebody who IS able if you aren’t. You shouldn’t laugh. You shouldn’t shut up.

In Orly’s case, she saw America drowning. She isn’t able to swim very well, but she couldn’t just watch America die. So she jumped in with both feet. She’s been floundering, sputtering, trying to keep America from drowning.

And everybody else stands on the shore and laughs at how she’s doing it all wrong.

And then bemoans when it’s clear that the country is dead. Mocks her failure because the country is dead. Nobody else failed in saving America, because nobody else tried. So it’s clearly her fault that America died...

Right?

I sure wish the DOJ would stop off at my local DMV.

It is amazing the number of documents you need there.

So you don’t think it’s important to say whether you support the enforcement of laws requiring documentation of eligibility in order to receive a wage in the US? That’s actually the topic of the thread.

Ah. Are you talking about some blogs? Some ripped-off re-written misspelled garbage?
Yeah. Another reason why I didn't buy the product.

If it was just Obama being a crook he’d be a crook held in check by the system designed to hold crooks in check. It’s not just him. The whole system is broken

Could be.

Again, all I've got is a vote.
Until maybe this bubbles up a level or two.

If Congress wanted to have a chance at stopping Obama’s lawlessness, they needed to assert the rule of law BEFORE the communist-Islamist coup had 5 years to bring the legal system to its knees.

Well.. that didn't happen, did it? Why cry about it?

And those who laughed along with them in their mockery of the issue made it so very easy for them to sell the country down the river.

Indeed.. laughing at kookery makes the laughers ... guilty I guess.. of something. How does that work exactly?

You shouldn’t shut up.

I didn't. And now you are blaming Obama on me.

Nobody else failed in saving America, because nobody else tried. So it’s clearly her fault that America died...

America died because Orly Taitz is a nutcase?

Just damn.

You know.. I could be quite vocal about the fact that I hate Lima beans.
I hate 'em and figure they should go down the sewer.

OF WHAT FREAKIN' SIGNIFICANCE is my opinion?

Are there still Lima Beans? Yes, there they be.

So what the hell does it matter what I say about 'em?

Nothing.

Enjoys your ineffective birther-bean protest.

If words/opinions are so impotent, what are you here for? Why does Free Republic exist? Seems disengenuine on the one hand to say that we need Free Republic to continue to exist, while saying on the other hand that nothing we say makes any difference anyway.

I believe in the rule of law, the Constitution, and the checks and balances. If that makes me a “kook” in your book, then I suspect you may be at odds with most the people on this thread, ‘cause it seems like most the people here believe this lawlessness is just plain wrong.

For about nine years and numerous activities more than you.

Why does Free Republic exist?

Not for blog-based kookery, for sure.

I believe in the rule of law, the Constitution, and the checks and balances.

Good for you. Find someone other than Krusty the Klown to sell it.

I suspect you may be at odds with most the people on this thread

Even if true, why would that bother me?

I know you're mad about your birfer crap having failed.
Try not to blame the folks that didn't buy it.

Whew. That was a close call.

You almost actually said something.

But then all the buzzwords came to the rescue: “kook”, “blog”, “birfer”, and “crap”.

Humblegunner’s body armor.

You are more than double welcome to think and post what you like.

Likewise I, buzzwords notwithstanding, am free to say I think some of it is kookery.

As I see it, your kookery had a marketing problem.
Too late now.. but should you wish to put forth future kookery..

See that you don’t have a sputtering smacktard as a spokesdentist.

You’re going to condemn with a broad brush everybody who cared about the rule of law - because Orly did what she wanted, over which I had no say?

That’s really classy.

I’m going to condemn birther kookery as crap because it has failed.

Classy or no.. fail.
Right or wrong.. fail.

The mojo didn’t work.
Crying about it won’t turn back the clock and make it work.

Your vote failed, so I’m going to condemn that kookery as crap. You’re an utter failure, HG.

(Never mind that your vote could only succeed if everybody else did their part too - and they wouldn’t do it...)

Right?

Hey, waddya think of this comment submitted to my blog at 7:30 CDT tonight, by “Lucifer”, whose description is:

IP: 78.47.86.62, sigma.cinfuhost.com
E-mail: satan@hell.com
URL: http://churchofsatan.org
Whois: http://whois.arin.net/rest/ip/78.47.86.62

From the site stats it’s somebody from the US hiding behind a German IP address. Must be afraid I’m going to report them to law enforcement.

Here’s the lovely comment. Do you agree with this?

“I don’t share Tom’s admiration for you. I would like to see ISIS saw your head off on TV. Not because I hate you, but because you’re the dumbest person in the entire country and your family would probably benefit from it.”

It’s a good thing words don’t really have any impact on anything, eh?

You agree with what was said, then?

What, that I don't share somebody's admiration of you?

Yeah, I guess I'd agree with that.

I'd not get any joy from seeing your head lopped off, though.

Dumbest person in the country? Doubtful.

Look, I'm under no obligation to prove anything to you
and I'm not going to answer any paranoid question you see fit you ask.

You seem to wish to assign motivations to my opinions about your kookery
and then try to "expose" my "agenda" by asking "clever" questions.

I say again: Get over yourself.

You ain't that important. I don't hate you or wish you ill.
You're pretty entertaining for the most part.

Didn't I even offer to help you with your graphics during your
Fuddy Funeral Fail Fiasco? With the caveat that I think you're a kook but remain willing to help?

Everyone is NOT "out to get you".

You're just not that important.
