"Start spreading the news
I am leaving today
I want to be a part of it
New York, New York"
Ya might want to rethink that Frankie. (RIP)

I have never had an urge to go there.
New Yackers are the main reason why. After hearing for the 250,000th time that New York is the best city on the planet, I began to wonder why someone would have to tout the place that much, if it truly was the best city on the planet.
No thanks...

Welcome to the world of open borders.
To: Enterprise
There is a bedbug pandemic in this country. Ask anybody in the pest control business. There are bedbugs in expensive hotels, movie theaters, and probably on airliners. Pest control treatment is expensive and there are no guarantees that they can be eliminated. Bedbugs were eradicated in this country in the early 20th century. Gee, I wonder if open borders and illegal immigration have anything to do with it?
To: txrefugee
I wonder also. Have head lice been showing up also? One would think so.

I had a chance to visit there many years ago. I decided not to, and I don’t really regret it.

For REAL blood-suckers, of course, you still have to go to Washington DC.

My beautician tells me that head lice like clean hair. Kind of hard to imagine.

I went there and hated the place. Full of rude ignorant people who can’t hold a door for you, can’t say thank you , and just push past you.
I hope I never have to step back into the socialist place of the north east ever again

You are correct. In the early 20th century bedbugs were eradicated with DDT. Sleep tight and don’t let the bedbugs bite.
