I’m not sure I’d worry about harvesting the crops in those areas. But they are going to need food relief. Otherwise, they are likely to leave the areas in search of food, and some of them will be taking the disease with them.
They need to put the quarantines back in place, but they need to have supplies delivered to the quarantined areas.
Africa is a lost cause.
The most humane policy would be to let the population die back to a level that can be supported by the local agriculture and food resources.
Food relief keeps people alive who cannot feed themselves
That enables them to have more babies they can't feed
Those babies grow up to be adults who cannot feed themselves.
And on and on and on...
