Shock and Awe was inevitable in order to get Hussein out, but after that Iraq drifted into a "building" exercise while fundamentalists were taking advantage of the "hearts and minds" stuff and capturing territories. Then came the surge/rinse and repeat/Obama/lack of status of forces agreement/ capitulation. Another fine mess the US MENA strategy is causing for future generations.

Fear and force are the only weapons Fundamentalists respect/flee from (Because that is how they operate in a land where people desire to be ruled instead of autonomous-rule). Martel and Prince of Wallachia understood that concept rather effectively.

In Iran there is a totalitarian system that establishes fear and force. In Syria's Assad and under Hussein, fear and force are/were implemented to keep the various sects in line; the Islamic as well as Christians and Pagans for instance. Problem is self-government in the United States is a dying concept which is why fear and force are popular campaign strategies/legislation.

I noticed she was visibly shaken. I can only imagine how awful it is to have to watch a video like that - and then jump on national TV. I am curious what exactly she meant when she said “I want to emphasize that Sotloff was clearly UNDER DURESS when saying the anti-US message” - she repeated this a few times and wanted to get that out there. How horrifying...I just can’t even wrap my mind around what these men were going through. I also wonder if there are any women held captive, and if ISIS would behead them as well? Horrifying.

That’s the plan — these recent ISIS beheading videos are meant to goad the US into attacking Syria and taking out Assad, which will leave a vacuum for ISIS / Al Qaeda to swarm in and occupy, just like in Iraq and Libya.

Don’t fall for this excuse to attack Syria and remove Assad. He’s keeping ISIS out of Syria for now, as are the Kurds in northern Iraq.

You know how much that frustrates Barry and his handlers. The only reason they want to remove these hardline dictators is so ISIS can move in and expand the caliphate. Don’t give them any excuses to do that.

Now, as reported by CNS News, we learn “The Islamic State militant group is holding hostage a young American woman who was doing humanitarian aid work in Syria, a family representative said Tuesday. The 26-year-old woman is the third American known to have been kidnapped by the militant group.
